Vote for local band

Fans have until midnight tonight to vote for Flower Mound's For Every Day in the semifinal round of the second annual USAA's Garage Band Playoff contest (yes, the United Services Automobile Association). For Every Day's song, "The War Within," takes on Colin Rieser of Newark, N.J., and his tune, "Outcast Misfit," on garagebandplayoff.com. Voters will receive a free download of the song for which they vote. The winning band gets a chance to win recognition in U-Turn and on the magazine's podcast, as well as $1,000. Dawn M. Common will co-star with Christian Bale in the fourth installment of the Terminator series, Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins. The Chicago rapper will play a freedom fighter named Barnes. The film is set to hit theaters in May 2009.

Billboard.com Paris has her 18th dog

Celeb blog CityRag says, via Gawker.com, that Paris Hilton has just acquired her 18th dog. They are spread out among her various domiciles.
