PROSTATE AND COLON CANCER SEMINAR: Learn about treatment options and risk factors for colon and prostate cancer during a free seminar today at Medical City Dallas Hospital. The event will feature presentations and a question-and-answer session with a radiation oncologist, a colon-rectal surgeon and a genetic counselor. Registration starts at 6 p.m.; the seminar will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in CareTower East, second floor, City Hall Conference Center, 7777 Forest Lane. Advance registration recommended. LIFEGUARD TRAINING: The Baylor Tom Landry Fitness Center offers American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and CPR certifications through an intensive weekend course. Instruction includes water rescue training, first-aid activities, CPR scenarios and classroom lectures. Participants must be 15 or older and physically able to pass the course prerequisites. Classes are held each weekend through June. Space is limited. Monthly lifeguard and CPR/AED renewal courses are available on weekday evenings.
