12:31 PM CDT on Wednesday, June 27, 2007
As the wedding nears, certain questions keeping coming my way. Here, then, are answers to the top 10 questions asked of us.
10) What are your colors?
Black, white and lots of pink!
9) What does your dress look like? Have you gotten it altered yet?
I can’t disclose the details of my dress because Chase tends to read these on a weekly basis. But, I will say that it’s really pretty, I got it at Terry Costa and I didn’t have to get it altered. Yay!
8) What will your reception be like?
We will have Chase’s family band, Texas Cactus, as the live entertainment with a sit-down dinner serving grilled chicken breast, beef tenderloin and of course, my favorite—mashed potatoes!!
7) Why Fredericksburg?
The most important thing to me was to have it on 07-07-07. The second most important thing was that we have the ceremony outside and the reception inside—all in one place. With that said, we found the perfect place 5 hours south of Dallas in the beautiful hill country. Chase loves to hunt, and I grew up going to the ranch with my dad not far from Fredericksburg, so we loved the idea. Our ceremony will be outside by a beautiful pond, with an indoor/outdoor reception to follow at the same location. With family and friends in Dallas, Austin, Houston and even near Fredericksburg, we thought it would be a perfect central location for everyone.
6) Where are you going on your honeymoon?
Playa Del Carmen. We chose this because neither of us have been out of the country and have heard wonderful things about Mexico. It’s a short 2-hour plane ride and only a 30 minute commute from the airport. The beaches are beautiful and best of all, we’re staying at an all-inclusive resort.
5) What is your new last name?
Ganschow
How do you pronounce that?
Gan-shau
4) How long had you and Chase dated before he proposed?
About 6 months
3) How long will it be by the day of the wedding?
About 9 months
2) How old is Chase?
I get this question a lot because of Chase’s baby face. Chase is 22, and I am 23. We’re about 15 months apart in age.
1) Are you nervous?
No. I’m really excited. Chase and I have had a lot of premarital counseling and discussions about life, goals and dreams, and we both agree there’s nothing to be nervous about. We are ready to seal the deal!
